ANC Sekhukhune Region celebrates Mandela Day with multiple community service projects
SEKHUKHUNE
The ANC Sekhukhune Region marked Nelson Mandela Day on Friday 18 July 2025 with multiple community service projects in different parts of the region. The projects were led by various regional leaders and aimed to give back to the community in meaningful ways.
In the Fetakgomo Tubatse Sub-Region, the party, led by Deputy Regional Secretary Eddie Maila, donated food hampers to the Malomanye drop-in centre and Mabulela Crèche in Ward 34.
The deputy secretary was joined by ANC REC members, sub-regional leadership, and ANC volunteers.
In the Ephraim Mogale Sub-Region, the organization, led by Regional Treasurer Given Moimana, donated a toilet, groceries, replaced broken doors and windows, and painted the houses of the Malesoene family in Manapsane Village.
The regional treasurer was joined by REC members, sub-regional leadership, and ANC volunteers.
In the Makhuduthamaga sub-region, Regional Chairperson Minah Bahula donated groceries and a wheelchair to Rose Mawela in Riverside Village.
The team also donated toys and sponges to the Mapule Crèche and painted the New United Apostolic Church in Mathousand Village. The regional chairperson was joined by REC members, sub-regional leadership, ANCYL Provincial Chairperson Faith Sebopela, and ANC volunteers.
“Today, we honoured the legacy of Nelson Mandela by giving back to our community. We are proud to make a difference in the lives of our people,” said Bahula.
The community expressed their gratitude to the ANC Sekhukhune Region for their kindness and generosity.
“We are touched by the ANC’s kindness and generosity. This gesture will go a long way in making a difference in our lives,” said a resident of Riverside Village.
ANC Sekhukhune Deputy Regional Chairperson, David Tladi, led activities in the Elias Motsoaledi Sub-Region.
During the day, Tladi and his entourage paid a compassionate visit to a child-headed family in Moteti Village. The ANC donated food parcels to other families in the area. The deputy regional chairperson was joined by REC members, sub-regional leadership, and ANC volunteers.
