Four Praktiseer schools donated school shoes

The Djento Sports Foundation celebrated Nelson Mandela Day in style.

 

The foundation which was founded by Sidney ” Djento” Lekhuleni handed school shoes to four primary schools in Praktiseer.

 

A total of 40 pairs were handed to the schools.

 

Each school received 10 pairs.

 

 

Nelson Mandela in one of his speeches said, “Sports has the power to change the world,it has the power to inspire. It has the power to unite people in a way that little else does. It speaks to youth in a language they understand. Sports can create hope where once there was only despair,” said Lekhuleni,quoting Madiba.

 

The schools that received the shoes are Koboti, Batubatse, Itirele and Bogwasha Primary Schools.

 

The Djento Sports foundation’s mission is to get children and youth off the streets  and  help them to refrain from consuming alcohol and drug abuse.

 

“We want our youth to  focus more on sporting activities and their education.”
