BPSA concerned over mass attacks and killings

SEKHUKHUNE – The Bolsheviks Party of South Africa (BPSA) has expressed concerns over government’s inaction amid the ongoing mass attacks and killings in parts of the country.

The BPSA said that they did not what to see a repetition of what happened last year in July when the lawlessness took over the country.

The party said while there is still time, the relevant authorities needed to come together and look into the killings.

BPSA called for stop and searches and roadblocks conducted by the soldiers and police to ensure a halt to the killings.

“They will start targeting us at churches when they don’t find us at taverns. We can’t just celebrate the emptying of alcohol bottles in the Eastern Cape. Police Minister Bheki Cele must not only look at alcohol. Currently the focus of the entire is on the shootings. With the current government, we are capacitated to fight this. We can’t just fold arms and watch. Let us be governed as a country, we can’t leave in fear like this. Let us see police presence on the roads in search for these firearms,” said Mogotji.

Mogotji said that the leadership of the country takes matters serious when the numbers are high and one death is too many.

“They must do what they know they must do. They must sit down together and find a way of dealing with the current urgent situation,” added Mogotji.

He further informed that recently they reported to police about a heavily armed motor vehicle which was recently spotted in Polokwane but police never got back to them on the matter.

“The police must go out into the streets and conduct random blitz searches for illegal arms. We can’t have a police service that only excels in certifying copies. Let them do some real work. The army must also be deployed and help SAPS to recover these illegal guns the same way they went house-to-house after last year July’s looting confiscating stolen goods, ” concluded Mogotji.
