The ACDP is concerned about illegal dumping

The African Christian Democratic Party said it is overly concerned over the illegal dumping affecting the Sekhukhune region.

This comes after the party spotted illegal dumping sites in Jane Furse along R579 road next to the Jane Furse hospital at the back of the Vergelegen area.

According to the chairperson of the party in the district, Joel Makola, the area is in an unhealthy condition with a smell that is unbearable.

“As the ACDP we are aware of this illegal dumping and we informed Makhuduthamaga Local Municipality (MLM) to intervene and clean up the area to restore the dignity of the residents,” said Makola.

“This specific field is very important for spiritual and religious leaders to perform their activities,” he said.

The party has also implored the responsible municipality to speed up the process of cleaning the area.
