Life changing wheelchair donation for struggling elderly man

Ga-Mogashoa – Makhuduthamaga Local Municipality Mayor, Minah Nahula, has Good Friday donated a wheelchair to the struggling Adam Tolo and groceries for the family at Ga-Mogashoa Village outside Jane Furse on Good Friday.

Mayor Bahula said it was disheartening to see and learn of the struggling situation faced by Adam Tolo in ward 13.

Bahula said the ANC led government had given them a mandate and always expected them to be compassionate and provide support and care for the less fortunate.

The Mayor decided to spend this year’s Good Friday with the family and provided the donation including a wheelchair for the struggling Tolo and groceries.

“The novel coronavirus has also not made it easy for people living with disabilities, economically and otherwise. Therefore it is our responsibility as government to intervene and mitigate where we can during these difficult circumstances,” said Bahula.

Bahula urged communities and he private stakeholders to assist and provide support for people who are also in similar situations.

Adam Tolo, overwhelmed with joy and about to cry, thanked the Mayor and the local municipality and said his life would never be the same again.

“It will change for the better. May God bless the Mayor,” said Tolo seemed in tears.
