Manyaka raises his hand to lead MCT
GA KGOETE
The Marula Community Trust (MCT) elections are upon us, and locals residing in communities surrounding the mine wants to see someone they trust lead the trust.
Sargent Manyaka residing at Thokwane Village, has raised his hand and is itching to lead the trust at Ga-Kgoete. Manyaka is one man who can be trusted with finances, he is a dedicated servant of the people and is devoted to his community.
With his experiences in life and entrepreneurship, he has garnered support and trust from most communities surrounding Marula Mine, this is because of his honesty, kind heart and dedication to local communities. He pleaded for change and desire to see development locally.
” I am the owner and founder of Diba Mining and Transport Projects and also being the chairman of Druta Taxi Association, I had been working closely with local communities, in the taxi industry, traditional leaders as well as local centres and organisations.
” I assist communities with transportation and other facilities needed in the community, reason being I want to see the black business sector growing and producing future leaders, whom will arise from our communities and cutting the strand of poverty by landing a hand where I can, because I believe in the saying: “Charity begins at home”, said Manyaka.
Meanwhile locals in Ga Kgoete have pledged their support for Manyaka. “As youth we face many challenges like unemployment and lack of infrastructure in our areas, but Mr Manyaka has shown that he is a perfect and capable candidate to leading the trust, with the entities he led in the past.
“He has qualities of leadership, unlike other MCT leaders that have put their interest first, Manyaka is determined to improve local communities and not to enrich himself,” said member of community, Shina Mphahlele.
The MCT elections will be held on 06 December 2025.
