Kgaola pupils receive much needed donations from Mosoma
OHRIGSTAD
As a norm, on October 17, Mokutung resident Osilias Mosoma once again donated to Kgaola Secondary School’s pupils prior to the matric exams.
Most local schools started with their final matric exams on October 21.
A good Samaritan of Mokutung Village ensured that pupils at Kgaola Secondary School were more than ready for theirs.
Osilias Ndala Mosoma, a former learner, donated stationery to 20 grade 12 pupils.
“I was at Kgaola to wish the pupils good luck, and in particular the matrics, who just started their end-of-year examinations.
“I want these kids to defy the odds and perform miracles in the national senior certificate exams. Education remains a societal responsibility and it takes the entire community to raise a child,” said Mosoma.
He reiterated, “As a learner, you should have ambition to be educated and be panacea to the myriad problems facing humanity, and in particular your family. Accordingly, a clarion call is made for your maximum discipline – in line with the pledge you have signed/taken. You should display persistence, resilience and perseverance to attain outstanding results.
Mosoma added, “You should not allow yourselves to be distracted until the last day of your examination. Remain home, study hard, avoid peer pressure, and desist from loitering the streets, indulging in intoxicating substances, pre-mature sexual relationships, disrespecting your elders and the authority.”
Mosoma said he requested the SMT to invite parents in order to have their commitment that they will relieve learners some households’ chores so that they have time to study.
“In 2026, I expect you to enrol with institutions of higher learning. One’s education is no longer dependent on one’s familial socio-economic status, but your tenacity in the task confronted with. Take advantage of the available funding options and arm yourselves with education. ”
Mosoma gave the delighted pupils gifts, which included sanitary towels, snacks, stationery and much more.
The short session was attended by representatives from the tribal authority, school management team, educators, parents, local pastors and learners.
School principal Morele Mohlala thanked Mosoma for his good heart, “He never disappoints, for the past decade he has been ensuring learners are well armed when writing their exams. We thank this man for his generosity and for always supporting our school.”
