Rammupudu Clinic activated for 24-hour operation
TAFELKOP – Limpopo Health MEC, Dieketseng Mashego, activated the Rammupudu Clinic in Tafelkop to operate on a 24-hour basis starting from Tuesday, 29 October.
Speaking during the launch, MEC Mashego said her presence there was to ensure that patients receive healthcare services that they need.
Mashego indicated that the move further seeks to ascertain continuity in ensuring that clinics are empowered and able to cater for patients needs effectively.
She highlighted the clinic’s staff’s commitment to work together with the community and provide proper healthcare services.
The MEC noted the complaints from community members about the alleged poor services at the facility on social media.
“We have the leadership of the clinic here with us. If you are not happy about something, don’t be afraid or lazy to communicate with them. Because they are people with love, they will be able to take care of you,” said Mashego.
She highlighted that they have been given a mandate to offer quality healthcare services to the people of Limpopo and to ensure that those quality healthcare services are accessible to the masses.
“That means you must access those services whenever it is. Whether it is in the morning, during the day or in the evening, when you come to the clinic, you must be able to get help. Because of the mandate we have from the ANC, we are here to activate the clinic so that it is no longer one which starts operating from 7am until 7pm, it will be a clinic that operates for 24 hours,” stated MEC Mashego to the applause of community members.
She indicated that the facility will render services that community members need at all times. “When you have problems at night, there will be no longer a challenge of when to get to a hospital. The clinic will be ready at all times,” committed Mashego.
The MEC further stressed on the significance of the availability of medication at clinics to be able to help members of the public.
