Limpopo Treasury holds empowerment workshop in Moteti  

MOTETI – The Limpopo Provincial Treasury’s Department in Sekhukhune District Supply Chain Management Client Support Centre, recently hosted a workshop for Medium, Small and Micro Enterprises (MSMEs), at Nkadimeng Primary School in Moteti Village, Elias Motsoaledi Local Municipality (EMLM).

The event aimed to capacitate local entrepreneurs on supply chain management (SCM) and available funding opportunities.

The workshop was a collaborative effort with the Limpopo Economic Development Agency, the Small Enterprise Development and Finance Agency, and Standard Bank of South Africa, all of whom joined to empower attendees with knowledge on services that can support and grow their businesses.

During the event, Sekhukhune SCM Client Support Deputy Director, Grace Bafedile, led the programme. She presented on the Central Supplier Database (CSD), compliance requirements, aligning commodities with procurement plans, and proper completion of bidding forms.

Bafedile also explained how MSMEs can benefit from government procurement, the importance of market‑based pricing, and how to navigate the CSD system. She urged participants to register on CSD to avoid fraudulent bid invitations and to fully understand the new Request for Quotation (RFQ) process.

The attendees, many of whom were already familiar with tender documents, praised the initiative, noting the value of government’s efforts to drive the province forward.

The session highlighted the significance of compliance, accurate pricing, and leveraging government opportunities to grow local businesses.
