Newly elected LPTA leadership set to drive industry growth

LIMPOPO – The Limpopo Provincial Tourism Association (LPTA) has announced its newly elected executive team, following the organization’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on Wednesday 3 September 2025.

The elected officials during the meeting include Mashudu Silimela as Chairperson, Hazel Motshweni as Deputy Chairperson and Thama Ramulongo was elected Secretary of the association.

The AGM elected Filter Maluleke as Deputy Secretary while the Treasurer position was given to Eddy Motshana.

LPTA’s primary purpose is to promote, foster, and develop tourism in the Limpopo Province, working closely with stakeholders to grow the industry.

With its diverse landscapes, wildlife, and cultural heritage, Limpopo offers a wide range of tourism experiences, from game reserves and national parks to scenic routes and historical sites.

LPTA is mandated to promote tourism in the province, positioning Limpopo as a premier tourist destination.

The association supports the development of tourism products and services in the province.

LPTA provides information on tourism attractions, activities, and accommodations in Limpopo.

Under the new leadership, LPTA is expected to build on the province’s tourism momentum, leveraging initiatives such as the Warm Wild Winter campaign and the Spring Campaign.

These campaigns aim to attract tourists to Limpopo’s game reserves, national parks, and other attractions.

With the Limpopo Province boasting 70% of the Kruger National Park, LPTA is well-positioned to capitalize on the province’s natural beauty and rich cultural heritage.

The association’s efforts will focus on promoting sustainable tourism practices, supporting local businesses, and enhancing the overall tourist experience in Limpopo.
