Elias Motsoaledi Municipality holds key meetings to enhance service delivery

The Elias Motsoaledi Local Municipality (EMLM) Council, has recently convened its Second Ordinary Management and Audit Steering Committee Meeting, held at the municipal headquarters in Groblersdal.
The meetings, led by EMLM Municipal Manager Regina Makgata, brought together senior managers, divisional managers, and oversight representatives to discuss key issues related to service delivery, governance, financial accountability, and audit preparedness.
According to Simon Makua, EMLM Spokesperson, the meeting focused on several key areas, including progress reports on infrastructure and community projects, review of internal controls and compliance matters, implementation of the audit action plan and risk management, strengthening institutional performance and reporting systems.
“Management meetings are vital to effective service delivery, financial accountability, and community development. They also reflect a culture of transparent governance and responsible leadership,” he said.
According to the municipality, these meetings play a crucial role in ensuring that the municipality is on track to meet its goals and objectives.
Through these meetings, the municipality is able to assess its progress, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies and initiatives to improve service delivery.
The meetings also highlight the municipality’s commitment to community development, prioritizing infrastructure and community projects while working to improve the quality of life for its residents.
