Career Exhibition Day empowers learners in Ephraim Mogale
MARBLE HALL – Ephraim Mogale Local Municipality (EPMLM), in partnership with Sekhukhune TVET College, held a successful Career Exhibition Day at Ester Maleka Comprehensive High School in Marble Hall, held on Tuesday 12 August 2025.
The event, attended by various high schools from various areas of EPMLM, aimed to provide career guidance to learners, enabling them to make informed decisions about their future careers.
Acting Mayor of EPMLM, Cllr Phillip Matlou, led the municipality in this initiative, which exposed learners to various career paths and opportunities in different companies.
The Principal of Sekhukhune TVET College, Tebogo Kekana, took the opportunity to highlight August as “TVET Month,” emphasizing the importance of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) colleges in developing a skilled workforce and driving economic growth.
During the event, learners were informed about the requirements for their preferred courses of study and encouraged to apply for courses at TVET colleges, with applications opening on 1 September 2025, and closing on 30 September 2025.
The event was well-supported by the EPMLM Executive Committee (EXCO) members, including Cllr Marry Ramphela, Chair of Chairs Cllr Phillimon Nkwana, Cllr Lizzy Lekwatsipa, and Cllr Koketso Mamahlako. Sekhukhune District Municipality (SDM) MPAC Chairperson Cllr Hudson Mashoeshoe, and EPMLM Youth Officer Elia Monyamane, who facilitated the event, were also in attendance.
