Man arrested for killing his Gogo

A 27-year-old male suspect was on June 19 arrested after he allegedly stabbed his granny. The magogo was stabbed with a sharp object at Ga-Maila-Mapitsana on June 16.
“The police were summoned to a crime scene and upon their arrival, they found a female victim in a pool of blood with injuries on her upper body,” said Limpopo SAPS spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba.
He said a 66-year-old granny was declared dead on the scene by Emergency Medical Services personnel. The Preliminary investigations were conducted by police and that led to the arrest of the 27-year-old son in law on June 19.
Ledwaba said the motive behind this brutal and senseless attack is unknown at this stage, however the ongoing police investigations will reveal. The suspect was scheduled to make his first court appearance on June 23, he faced a murder charge and his case has been postponed to July 4.
