Police investigate following armed robbery at Moutse Clinic

A group of armed suspects robbed security officers and made off with litres of diesel at Moutse Clinic in Dennilton n Friday, 19 April.
Police are investigating a case of business robbery following the incident. Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba, Limpopo Provincial Police spokesperson informed that an unknown woman arrived at the clinic and informed the security officers that there was a critically ill person inside a bakkie which was parked outside.
Mashaba said the guards informed the woman that the clinic was still closed, but suddenly, three suspects emerged from nowhere and pointed the security officers with firearms.
He revealed that they ordered them to the toilets where they tied them up, robbed them off their cellphones before locking them inside.
“The security guards were eventually rescued by their colleagues when they reported for duty. During preliminary investigations, it was revealed that the suspects stole three 20L of diesel. The suspects are not yet arrested. It is also not yet clear what happened to the woman and the supposed patient as they were not found on the premises,” explained Mashaba.
