Executive Mayor Bahula visits distraught Maphutha family
GA-MASEMOLA – Sekhukhune District Municipality Executive Mayor, Minah Bahula visited the bereaved family of 50 year-old Sammy Maphutha at Ga-Masemola Village on Wednesday, 21 February.
The 50 year-old Maphutha tragically lost his life in a drowning incident while boat-fishing in the De Hoop Dam on Saturday.
Executive Mayor Bahula, accompanied by local council members and community stakeholders, offered vital moral support to the family in their trying times.
They engaged in discussions concerning funeral arrangements, with tentative plans for a service scheduled for the upcoming weekend.
However, final arrangements are pending the results of an autopsy to determine the exact cause of Maphutha’s untimely passing.
Bahula expressed her heartfelt condolences, stating, “Our hearts ache for the family and friends of Sammy Maphutha as they navigate this profound loss. We stand in solidarity with them, offering our steadfast support during this challenging period.
The municipality extends its deepest sympathies to the Maphutha family and pledged continued assistance throughout the funeral proceedings and beyond.
