Phogole make impressions through painting and graphite arts

A visual painter and graphite artist, Plan Phogole, is following his God given talent in arts. Phogole, from Mphanama Village outside Burgersfort, has been creating hyper-realistic drawings and lucrative living sketches of people that looks as real as possible.
Having fallen in love with arts at a tender age, the 27-year-old Phogole said he started to take his God given talent seriously in 2017.
“At first I did not know which proper steps to take at the time for my arts to be well-known and recognized. I tried by all means to convince people in my area to love my work but no one seems to take my work serious. However, I ignored the negativity and focused on upgrading my talent until I started to promote my arts through social media and that’s when many people started to recognize and appreciate my work,” he said.
Affectionately known as King Of Drawing (KOD), the self-taught visual of paintings and graphite artist said he is dedicated to put more emphasis on pencil art which makes him unique from other artists.
“I have passion in pencil art because it makes me different from other artists. I decided to stick in what I use the most because to express my love and passion for drawing,” he said.
He said he is doing art for a living and sells his portraits at local shopping malls and he also create mural paintings at local crèches.
“My target market is on art loving people who use to come to me for paintings and drawings.
Phogole said he entered a number of drawing competitions in 2020 but the competition could not continue due to the corona virus outbreak, however, earlier this year he joined another competition which is still running and the winner will be announced soon.
“I am willing to enter more competitions in the near future and hopefully I will be rewarded. This is my dream and it will come true. Drawing is a gift I was born with and I am grateful that I am doing it with love,” he said.
He said he is eyeing to have his own studio and gallery where he can teach those who want to develop the love for painting and graphite art.
