Queens crowned during Miss Driekop pageants

Young Movement Modelling Agency crowned Miss Driekop on November 5, the event was held at Nthame community hall. More than 10 queens were crowned during various modelling competitions. Those who were crowned on the day included Miss Pre- Teen Driekop, Felicia Mashoeu, Miss Teen Driekop, Lehlogonolo Chilwane and the big award of  the Miss Driekop which was won by Promise Mhlanga. The first and second princesses were also honoured on the day.
Those who competed but did not win any of the crowns were handed certificates of participation.
“It feels good to win this prize; I wish to thank my family and the organisers of this competition for giving us a platform to shine. In future I want to compete in the Miss Limpopo and Miss South Africa pageants,” said Mhlanga.
“We thank the support from the local communities and sponsors that volunteered to assist us. They are indeed investing in our kids as these events take away kids from the streets,” revealed event organisers Mamie Ngele and Shemy Molangwana.
The organisers also thanked sponsors such as Sono Water Solutions, Mahamanyane Trading and Projects, Manville Tavern and Sekhukhune Times newspaper.
