Ga-Mashamothane, Zone 7
Sboniso Youth Care Center (SYCC) along with the Rise Africa Care foundation has decided to celebrate June 16, Youth day with spreading words of education to the learners of the nearest schools around Burgersfort.
SYCC’s Ally Shiburi the founder and project manager of the organization said the purpose of the Expo is to alert learners about a mobile they are launching regarding online tertiary applications. He stated that many learners do not have much information about Tertiary applications, and they aim to help them apply for free.
“It has come to our attention that most learners either apply for the same course because they do not have further information about other courses, or they do not apply at all. We want to give them the knowledge and show them job opportunities for any tertiary course they may be interested in,” said Shiburi.
Shiburi said they chose June 16 as it is a day to celebrate the legacy of a legend. He said Hector Peterson did not fight for us to celebrate this day by wearing school inform going to events that do not correspond with education.
“Hector Peterson fought for a better educational platform. It is our time to teach those with no information about higher learning that is it possible to be something without anything,” he said.
He further stated that they chose Mosebu Primary School because it is the center of all schools around Ga-Mashamothane. Shiburi aims to make education fashionable and hopes that all learners that attend the Expo will learn and feel free to seek assistance about anything regarding education at any time. He highlighted that SYCC is always available for tutorials and mentorship of any subject.
