Artist shoots first music video in his village
TAFELKOP – Artist, producer and composer, Tshepo Vusi Mohlala AKA Myzo Lyza, shot his first music video for “Nangu” at Maboneng in Tafelkop outside Groblersdal on Saturday, 5 June 2021.
The gesture by the local artist to shoot the music video for “Nangu” in the village made the community more proud of his work and many wished him all the best as an artist.
Myzo Lyza says his passion for music started at a tender age when he was in primary school as he used to play with his brother’s piano.
The music fanatic said he then asked his brother, Canny Matlakala, to buy him software which could enable him to create his own beats.
He added that his brother also helped him to grasp the in and outs of creating beats and that is how he learned about music.
Myzo Lyza graduated from Sekhukhune TVET College’s CS Barlow Campus in Motetema in 2016 where he completed his IT Diploma.
In 2018, he released his EPL under Union Records from Italy and it was listed 5 on Traxsource’s Top 10. Myzo Lyza released another single in 2020 under Pasqua Records from UK and he is currently working with local aspiring artists in the Tafelkop area.
“I believe music can be great platform for the youth to speak out about their daily challenges and also educate the generation to come after us. I would like to thank everyone who stood by me, especially my family, fans and all our community radio stations in Limpopo,” said Myzo Lyza.
During Myzo Lyza’s visit at the Royal House on Sunday, 16 June 2021, Kgoshi Rammupudu Boleu III said it was honour to see their own son flying the name of the province and country all over the world through music.
Kgoshi Rammupudu Boleu III concluded that they wished Myzo Lyza all the best in his journey and hoped it would inspire young people to follow the arts.
