A 42 year-old from Praktiseer outside the first democratic platinum town of Burgersfort in Limpopo says experience is the best teacher.

 

After he worked for five years in Nandos chicken in Burgersfort as a chef grilling chicken. He saved money to start his own business.

 

Doctor Ntuli ‘s mouth-watering Chisa nyama business is now doing well and booming.

 

“My love for food started some years ago at a young age. I was always in the kitchen cooking and my peers were mocking me telling me the place of a woman is in the kitchen. They gave me a nickname mathanda kitchen”.

 

It is following his passion after he passed his matric that helped him now to realise his dream.

 

“I own my own restaurant in a busy main road named Dikotela chesa nyama”.

 

His regular clients during the day are government employees from Praktiseer magistrate court, Tubatse police and traffic officers, teachers from local primary and high schools, nurses from the local clinic and the beer gushers from the popular local taverns during the night and weekends.

 

“I have employed 5 young people in the community to empower them with skills and knowledge I have acquired”.

 

He uses his secret recipe to keep his customers supporting his business.

 

His wish is to grow his business and open many eateries in the mining developing town of Burgersfort.
