Deputy Minister Siweya conducts frontline monitoring in Sekhukhune

SEKHUKHUNE – The Deputy Minister in the Presidency, Thembi Siweya, undertook a two-part frontline monitoring visit to St Rita’s Hospital and Mohlamme Secondary School in Dennilton outside Groblersdal, in Sekhukhune district on Tuesday, 23 March 2021.

This after government identified various vaccination sites as part of the strategy to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the next two months, Deputy Minister Siweya will visit vaccination centres in various provinces to monitor the state of readiness for the phase 2 of the COVID-19 vaccination rollout.

The Deputy Minister was accompanied by Limpopo Health MEC, Dr Phophi Ramathuba and several provincial leaders.

The visit to St Rita’s Hospital in Glen Cowie Village outside Jane Furse within Makhuduthamaga Local Municipality was preceded by a frontline monitoring of compliance to COVID-19 health protocols at the Mohlamme Secondary School.

The frontline monitoring of the school was part of a government-wide Back-to-School campaign which is aimed at highlighting the importance of education and to mobile society to play a role in supporting teaching and learning.
