Mob torches a house and attack alleged suspect after a murder of teen.

Fed up of recent murders and alleged drug dealing. Residents of Praktiseer outside Burgersfort have taken the law into their own hands.
On Tuesday, Residents blockaded roads with stones, bottles and debris. This after the mob has attacked a 26 year old man, accusing him of being involved in the recent murder in the area. The angry residents also torched a house in the area.
The Provincial Commissioner of Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe encouraged the members of the community to provide valuable information that can lead to the apprehension of unknown suspects who allegedly committed an attempted murder and arson at Shushumela Ext 3 on 01 August.
“The incident follows after members of the public gathered and mobilised at Praktiseer sportsground at about 17:00 with the intention to hunt down the suspects who were allegedly responsible for the murder of a 19 year-old male on Saturday 30 July. The deceased was stabbed to death by unknown suspects during an altercation at the local tavern.
“The mob proceeded to the homestead of the 26 year-old man believed to be involved in the murder.
“He was caught and assaulted after being accused for the murder and selling drugs at the local taverns,” said Limpopo SAPS spokesman Col Malesela Ledwaba.
He said the police were summoned at the scene and upon arrival they managed to rescue him and he was later admitted to Dilokong hospital for medical treatment.
Ledwaba said, “Afterwards, at about 20:00 the mob proceeded to the house of the daughter of the owner of the local tavern and torched it. The house had no furniture.
“She was also accused of collaborating with the 26 year-old man for selling drugs,” revealed Ledwaba.
According to the SAPS, a massive manhunt has since been launched for the unknown suspects.
