In a space of just two years, multi-award winning author, actor, entrepreneur, musician and motivational speaker, Vusi Mabena, is breaking barriers in the writing fraternity.
Affectionately known as “King of Inspirational Books”, Mabena, from Elandsdoorn in Dennilton, Moutse, has published his sixth book in less than three years as a professional writer.
His latest project titled: “Let Tomorrow’s Beginning Start Today”, a collection of poetry-motivational book. The latest project was published last week Friday and will be available in book shops from end of June.
Through his work with pen and paper, Mabena said the latest version of his work is dedicated to people who have lost hope in life.
“The book is meant to change lives of those who have lost hope because of the difficulties and harsh reality of life faced by both young and old people. I want to bring hope to broken souls by encouraging them to start form the humble beginnings today and do something remarkable with their lives,” he said.
Mabena said the book consists of 135 pages with 85 different topics that will be encouraging and motivating the readers in different ways, depending on the hardships they are facing at the time.
“I invested more time on my latest publication unlike the previous ones. The book took me eight months to complete. My aim is also to highlight my growth in the writing fraternity. I want this one to differ from the previous books I have published since 2019,” he said.
As part of his accomplishments, the self-published author will be honored at the fifth African Honoree Awards to be held on 31 July 2022 at the Genesis Conference Centre in Johannesburg.
The awards came into inception five years ago with an aim to recognize best-selling authors who contributes immensely with their work in the whole African continent.
“I am really out of words and overwhelmed by this achievement. I have received numerous awards but this is the biggest one I am looking forward to achieve. This to me means that I am contributing positively as an author. I thank God that finally this day has come,” he said.
Mabena has promised readers to expect more encouraging publications in the near future. “I won’t retire anytime soon. My ultimate goal is to keep on writing books in order to change as many lives as possible,” he said.
Apart from writing, Mabena is currently busy with his music album that features seven genres including Hip Hop, Gospel, RnB, Acapella, Gqom, Poetry and Motivational songs.
