Group hinders road project

NTWANE – The Bolsheviks Party of South Africa (BPSA) has requested the South African Police Service (SAPS) in Dennilton outside Groblersdal to intervene in alleged disturbances of a roads-project engineer by a certain group in the area.

The BPSA said they humbly requested the presence of SAPS on 7 June 2022 in Ntwane area to protect an engineer who has been sent to take soil samples on the main road, D1399 linking Loskop Dam and the R25.

The engineer conducted work on the road for the Department of Roads and Transport to get adequate specifications to allow for the fixing of the dilapidated road.

Seun Mogotji, BPSA leader, said the engineer was stopped by a small rogue group who, by all intends and purposes, were hell-bent on stopping development in the area unless they were given tenders.

Mogotji said that development in Ntwane could not be hindered by hooligans and they did not want the community to take the law into their own hands by venting their anger on the said group.

“This thuggish approach must be condemned with the contempt it deserves. Ntwane shall see no development as long as thugs want to take over. The guys who are conducting the survey are engineers with qualifications that I doubt these rogues elements will possess even in the next life. If the community of Ntwane does not stand up and fight this group, we will forever complain about potholes and the general poor state of roads,” said Mogotji.

Mogotji appealed to Dennilton and Groblersdal SAPS to be present on the road and escort the engineer to complete work without hindrances.
