FTLM Mayor promises a new bridge to residents

MABOTSHA

Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality (FTLM)’s mayor Eddie Maila confirmed to residents of Mabotsha that an access bridge will soon be erected in the area.
Maila visited the community in Ward 30 at the local tribal house of Ga Mafane on Monday; he was accompanied by his Exco committee and local councillors.
It’s been more than three years since an access bridge linking the Old Penge road with the Mokobola Primary School was destroyed by heavy rains in 2019.
Maila said they are ready to deliver and improve the lives of the people by providing better services.
“A contractor was recently appointed and we will ensure the project starts with immediate effect,” revealed Maila.
This means the days of Mokobola Primary School learners bunking classes when it rained will be a thing of the past.
Community members are delighted to have the finally bridge erected. ”It is a huge challenge for the pupils to attend classes when it is raining. They risk their lives crossing a flooded river on their way to school.
