The EFF welcomes fighter Mapoulo from the ANC

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in Limpopo said is elated to welcome into its ranks membership of Fighter Mmakgabo Lawrence Mapoulo.
The party said fighter Mapoulo is one of the most decorated political leaders and activists in the Limpopo province.
During the official welcome the party convener Dr Mbuyiseni Ndlozi said the doors of the EFF are open for those who want to continue the struggle for the total and selfless total economic emancipation for (our) people.
Ndlozi said welcoming Mapoulo would give the EFF members an inspiration that they are recruiting.
“Doing campaigns for the one million membership by the end of this year across the country, which must give us a sense of what recruitment is really is about when the president goes and sits down with veterans and spend time and to say the doors of the EFF are open,” said Ndlozi.
Rebeca Mohlala, coordinator, said, Mapoulo joins the party during a crucial time in their organisational development in the province.
Mohlala also agrees with Ndlozi that Mapoulo comes when the central focus is the revival of the structures and aggressive membership recruitment towards the national 1 million membership mark.
She said his experiment could therefore not arrive at a more opportune time.
“However, his membership alone is not only historic, but represents quality that will certainly translate into impeccable quantity. Above all, his membership represents a formidable statement of confidence in the EFF, its future and impact in the lives of our people,” said Mohlala.
She said they welcomed a leader who has served with consistency, determination, and selflessness during a time when it was not fashionable to do so.
“We are welcoming a tried and tested cadre,” briefed Mohlala.
She said Mapoulu cut his teeth in politics during the theatres of peoples’ power in the 1980s, from being a student leader, trade unionist, youth activist to community leader in the fight against the murderous apartheid regime.
Mapoulo is a former Executive Mayor of Capricorn District Municipality served from 2010 to 2014 and he also served as Deputy Chairperson of SALGA in Limpopo.
