Young author publish her first book

A local teenager from the village of Ga Matokomane is already a published author. By age of 15, Tebatso Maripane has released a book titled, “The valley of success.”
The book is a collection of poems dealing with loss, pain, depression and abandonment. It was released on November 15, it has 30 poems.
Themes throughout the collection also include abuse, the normal order of life, death, crime, love, diseases, trust, betrayal, hope and many other exciting topics that are not often tackled by a teenage girl.
“I believe that life consists of challenges which are not meant to destroy us, is about changing the wrong mind-set in our society. In this book, I also encourage the youth to focus on education,” said the Grade 11 Pupil from Leolo Technical High School.
She confirmed the book was published and printed by the :Baropodi consulting and services .
Tebatso said the book is the first of many. She believes that this collection of poems is just one step towards her path as she hopes to write several other books.
“I am planning to write more books about brightening the future of the youth in our society. I am not happy with my peers who are into drugs and alcohol abuse. Somehow, I wish to transform them into better people,” she added .
