Mathule joins BPSA
Ga-Ntake
The former African National Congress (ANC) member, Onious Mathule, joined the Bolsheviks Party of South Africa (BPSA).
Mathule was ward 29 candidate for the ANC under Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality (FTLM) elected by the majority of the community.
He however claims votes were rigged as a result he was sidelined by the branch of the party putting their favourite candidates in charge.
Mathule then decided to register as an independent candidate for the upcoming Local Government Elections (LGE).
“I was then approached by the BPSA to join them. Because I was elected by the community I convened a community meeting to tell them about the BPSA and didn’t have a problem,” said Mathule.
He describes BPSA as the independent party which mainly focuses on community development.
“You can see in Dennilton the party is fighting for their respective communities which is something we need here in ward 29,” said Mathule.
“We are now freedom fighters of our communities,” he said.
Mathule is more involve into various community projects relating to the developments of communities.
He said the ANC fingered him for bringing the party into disrepute mainly at Ga-Ntake.
Adding to that he said ANC cadre told him that they don’t condone “Moswapaleng” slogan instead they are likely to consider long serving ANC members.
“With or without political affiliation we will empower youth with needed skills and to share equal opportunity,” said Mathule.
He said Ntake area is neglected for far too long.
He lambasted current councillor for lack of knowledge on various issues affecting communities.
“We appeal to you to understand that you will continue to receive complaints and you may wish to ask for changes on the list,” said Jessie Duarte, deputy secretary general of the ANC.
Duarte advised her comrades that: “Please note that at this stage your perpetual call to change names on the list is not possible,”
She was instructing some of the ANC members who allege their preferential ward candidates were changed without their consent. Duarte made this remark after submitting ANC candidates to the IEC.
