Sanitary pads drive to change lives of young girls

They always say those with a good heart, the good shall follow them and those who give shall receive.

Living in a country where 70% of its citizens is depending on social grand for a living, Kholofelo Phasha felt the need to be one of those helping hand. She started a sanitary pad drive called KEEP A GIRL CHILD IN SCHOOL.

Kholofelo Phasha an 18-year-old from Lebowakgomo, Zone P wants to help her peers by donating sanitary pads to schools. “I never struggled to buy sanitary pads but I knew there are young girls out there who can’t afford a pack of sanitary pads along with toiletries. I felt for all of them, that is why I started this. I want to make a difference. I want to make someone’s day and help them go to school feeling fresh and clean” she said

She is up and above asking donations on Twitter. KEEP A GIRL CHILD IN SCHOOL has started receiving some donations and that can only mean good news. She chose Thagalane Secondary school at Ga-Mphahlela in Dithabaneng to be the first school she will donate to on February 25th.

This young lady added that people are wondering the reason she isn’t starting donating around her community. She said she wanted to start with the less privileged and show people from outside her community that they care about them.

She aims to raise more donations and take this initiative to another step which is to donate to more schools. Kholofelo is an incredible person with more ambitions to the future, how amazing it is that all her future dreams and plans are to help people. She believes that she is meant to help the people.

It is a moment to live for seeing young people taking the time to help one another. It shows that this country has a breed of kindness.
