LTA launches Winter Campaign in Kruger National Park
KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
The Limpopo Tourism Agency (LTA) has recently launched its “Winter Campaign” in the iconic Kruger National Park, showcasing the province’s mild winter temperatures and diverse tourism offerings.
The campaign, themed “Province of Two Summers,” aims to position Limpopo as a leading tourist destination in Southern Africa.
Limpopo is known for its warm temperatures, with average daily highs of 26 degrees Celsius.
The province’s mild winters makes it an attractive destination for tourists seeking to escape colder climates. The LTA’s Winter Campaign will promote Limpopo’s unique offerings through a range of activities, including game drives, traditional dances, and digital media campaigns.
LTA Spokesperson, Mike Tauatsoala, said the agency’s extended mandate of Destination Trade and Investment Promotion, as pronounced by Limpopo Provincial EXCO in 2022, has been showcased during the campaign.
“The agency aims to increase brand equity and awareness, establish strategic business partnerships, and promote Limpopo as a viable tourist destination both locally and internationally,” he said.
Tauatsoala added that other campaign activities included a platform where the agency showcased Limpopo’s tourism offerings and warm winter temperatures with LTA displaying Limpopo as a warm winter destination through digital media channels.
“The agency had also promoted the support on regional events and activations to promote Limpopo’s tourism industry, enhancing relationships with key stakeholders, including media leaders and tourism industry players,” he said.
LTA CEO, Moses Ngobeni, said: “The launch of this Winter Campaign has been used to promote and market destination Limpopo as a viable tourist destination both locally and internationally.”
He added that the agency aims to make Limpopo a top-of-mind destination for tourists and holidaymakers, showcasing its diverse attractions, warm winters, and safe environment.
The LTA’s Winter Campaign was also set to showcase the province’s best features and attract visitors from around the world.
