One of the top schools in the Mabulane Circuit in the Sekhukhune East District, Madikoloshe Malepe High School, honoured its top-performing pupils for 2024 on March 13.
This school achieved a 90.6% pass rate with its Class of 2024. The school management team organised an award ceremony for the pupils and it was attended by former learners, motivational speakers, SGB members and the sponsors, Mediro Training Academy and Imerys Annesley Mine.
John Moropane of Mediro said the company vowed to support the school until it reaches greater heights. “We are planning for a bigger event than this one in 2026. We support the principal and his team and we believe the school has potential to succeed further.”
Moropane, is a former pupil of the school and has been sponsoring the school in the past years.
Those who were honoured during the event were the top five pupils per grade as well as top-performing educators.
“We saw it fit to honour our pupils and educators after a successful 2024. We are improving daily with the new management and we are pushing for a 100% matric pass rate. We thank the educators, the circuit and members of the community for their support. Our aim is to see the school being one of the top ones in Sekhukhune,” said the SGB’s chairperson, David Mokoena.
Some of the learners who were awarded certificates are Karabo Ramaila, Pholosho Lepelle, Tshepo Mabuza and Reetshepile Malepe.
