Josi Events hosts star-studded gala to support education
MONSTERLUS
Josi Events and Projects, an entertainment company based in Monsterlus outside Groblersdal, has recently organised a gala diner, aiming to raise funds to uplift disadvantaged communities through school donations.
The fundraising gala dinner was organised at Nkandla Resort in Monsterlus in collaboration with other social partners that supported the initiative as a way of giving back to the communities.
Event Coordinator, Dipuo Mogudi, said during the occasion, the entertainment company invited communities within Elias Motsoaledi Local Municipality (EMLM), to meet up for a great purpose of making the world a better place.
“This initiative was driven by Josi Events and Projects Director, Josiah Machai, as a way of giving back to the community of the less-fortunate in Elias Motsoaledi,” she said.
She said the donations raised during the event will be used to assist in buying school shoes and sanitary towels, which will be at a later stage, distributed to schools around Elias Motsoaledi villages.
“It is with great joy from me and the whole team to see and witness this positive response of people who are willing to make a change and step into compassion. The support brought by people from Monsterlus and surrounding areas came forth privately and publicly with overwhelming donations,” she said.
Mogudi thanked everyone who ensured that they pass the message that was powerfully delivered to encourage people to come and support the initiative, stating that it was not only reverting but left a lasting impression on all the event attendees.
“It is really exciting for Josi Events and the team to say we donated a huge number of shoes and sanitary pads to four schools in February 2024. We are aiming to double that number when we distribute early in 2025,” she said.
Mogudi extended special appreciation to everyone who has donated privately and publicly to make the outreach initiative a success. She said Josi Events and Projects is still welcoming the donations and they appeal to anyone who is willing to come and contribute to contact Dipuo Mogudi on 082 957 9332, Josi Machai on 079 417 5065 or Theo Tlaka on 066 388 0166.
