Oupa Jan Mtomboti is missing

GLEN COWIE – The South African Police Service (SAPS) in Nebo have launched a search operation following the disappearance of 56 year-old Oupa Jan Mtomboti from Magapung Village, Glen Cowie.

Sergeant Maphure Manamela, Limpopo Provincial Police spokesperson, said it is reported that Mtomboti was last seen on Wednesday, 2 October while visiting his mother at the nearby village.

Mtomboti indicated that he was heading home but never arrived. Manamela informed that inquiries at his workplace, a local primary school, where he is employed as a general worker, revealed he did not report for duty.

Manamela stated that Mtomboti was reportedly wearing a grey pair of trousers, blue and orange jersey, black sneakers and a maroon T-shirt.

Police urge anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact Investigating Officer, Warrant Philemon Nchetseng on 082 710 0866, the crime stop number 08600 10111, the nearest police station or use the MySAPSApp.
