Mafato and Mashung primary schools receive science kits
MOTETEMA/MATLALA-RAMOSHEBO – 4Racing and the Limpopo Gambling Board (LGB) donated science equipment to Mafato and Mashung primary schools in Motetema Township and Ga Matlala-Ramoshebo Village within Elias Motsoaledi and Ephraim Mogale local municipalities respectively on Tuesday, 21 May.
4Racing and LGB availed the science kits to the schools in Sekhukhune district following requests for assistance by MEC for Limpopo Economic Development, Environment and Tourism, Rodgers Monama.
Speaking at Mafato Primary School, MEC Monama stated that they came to offer help at the institution which happens to be the school where Premier Chupu Mathabatha was a learner in his youth.
Monama thanked 4Racing and LGB for the science kits’ donation to learners and further encouraged the learners to ensure that they study and become educated.
He further encouraged the learners to shy away from illegal gambling, including Fafi and the use of gambling machines in spaza shops.
Monama advised both schools to take care of the equipment and called on teachers to expand the knowledge of their learners through the kits, as they are the future of the country.
“Seated here are future engineers, doctors and nurses. The young ones are the future of this country. With this gesture, we aim to contribute to the welfare of our next generation and ensure a bright future,” indicated Monama.
MMC Orginia Mafefe, who represented Sekhukhune District Municipality Executive Mayor, Minah Bahula, expressed gratitude to the MEC and partners for their generous gesture.
Mafefe thanked MEC Monama and his partners for choosing Sekhukhune district. “These science equipment’s donations will motivate our learners to work harder and improve their knowledge,” said Mafefe.
