Thugs clean out man’s goats, police search for suspects
GA-MPHAHLELE – The Lebowakgomo Stock-theft Unit within the Capricorn district are investigating a case of robbery with firearm following an incident of theft of livestock which occurred on Friday, 3 May in Makurung Village near the taxi rank.
Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, Limpopo Provincial Police spokesperson, said it is reported that the owner of the livestock was allegedly awaken by a sound of a goat and peeped through the window to check his kraal.
Ledwaba explained that suddenly, the man heard a gunshot and saw a lightning spark. “Afterwards, the victim went outside to investigate and discovered his kraal’s fence was cut at the back. Upon further observation, the owner noticed that twelve goats were stolen and only two remained inside the kraal,” added Ledwaba.
He revealed that the stolen goats, marked on their left ears and are black and white in colour, are valued at more than R25 000.
