FTLM convenes strategic planning meeting
BURGERSFORT – Fetakgomo-Tubatse Local Municipality held its strategic planning session for five days from Monday, March 11 to Friday 15 in Modimolle-Mookgophong municipality to plan for the 2024/2025 financial year and the medium term.
Addressing the session, Mayor Eddie Maila indicated that the municipality has grown in terms of population, making it the second largest in Limpopo after the City of Polokwane.
Maila highlighted that planning for the municipality should take that into consideration, especially on infrastructure development.
The mayor thanked the institution’s administration for ensuring that conditional grants are spent efficiently to expedite service delivery.
The meeting focused on investment opportunities that will contribute towards economic development of the municipality.
Political leadership of FTLM committed their support to the administration to continue with the vision of building a city and providing services to communities.
The gathering further honoured Dr. Mathole Motshekga of the Kara Institute with a portrait produced by a local young artist Tshegofatso Moropane.
Mayor Maila appreciated the presence of Dr. Motshekga and the presentation he made in the strategic planning session.
