Limpopo government commits to advancing skills development

The Sekhukhune District Municipality (SDM), successfully hosted a sitting of the Limpopo Human Resource Development Council (LHRDC) at Sekhukhune TVET College in Groblersdal Skills Campus on April 15.

The sessionn was led by Premier Dr Phophi Ramathuba, alongside Members of the Executive Council.

The engagement reaffirmed government’s commitment to advancing skills development as a catalyst for inclusive economic growth and job creation.

It brought together key stakeholders from government, education, and industry to strengthen alignment with the Limpopo Development Plan and embracing the District Development Plan.

Discussions focused on strategic initiatives such as the Sekhukhune Mining and Minerals Beneficiation Academy, stemming from the 2023 Presidential District Development Model visit led by President Cyril Ramaphosa.

Sekhukhune District Municipality said it remains committed to building partnerships that promote skills development, empower communities, and unlock sustainable economic opportunities.
