Kekana and Ramathuba’s visit to boost agriculture in Tafelkop
TAFELKOP
The Premier of Limpopo, Dr Phophi Ramathuba, alongside MEC for Agriculture and Rural Development, Ms Nakedi Grace Kekana, visited the Tafelkop Farmers Association at the Tafelkop Irrigation Scheme.
The leadership wasn’t just there to visit, they came with a plan to grow. The Premier and MEC pledged support for mechanisation, the upgrading of irrigation systems, and the revamping of local pack-houses. Farmers have been challenged to ramp up production to reach a target of over 600 jobs for the community.
This project stands as a shining example of the District Development Model (DDM) that is bringing government and traditional leadership together to change lives.
Also in attendance were Sekhukhune District Municipality’s Executive Mayor Cllr Minah Bahula, Elias Motswaledi Mayor, Cllr David Tladi, and the Deputy Chairperson of Limpopo House of Traditional Leaders, Kgoṣ̌i Rammupudu.
