Tukakgomo man found with stolen car

 Justice Molapo (45) has appeared in the Sekhukhune Magistrate’s Court following his arrest during an operation conducted by the Sekhukhune Tracking Team in collaboration with precinct detectives.
The intelligence-driven operation was conducted between 06:00 on Thursday, September 4 and 09:30 the following day in the Tukakgomo Village, within the Burgersfort policing area.
“During the operation, the police recovered a Nissan NP200 bakkie that was reported stolen in eMalahleni in July. A further search of a nearby residence led to the discovery of an unlicensed firearm and a small box containing several rounds of ammunition,” said Limpopo SAPS spokesperson, Colonel Malesela Ledwaba.
The suspect first appeared in court on Monday, September 8, facing charges of possession of a stolen motor vehicle, possession of an unlicensed firearm, and possession of ammunition. He was remanded in custody and the case was postponed to September 17 for a formal bail application. Ledwaba said police investigations are ongoing and the Molapo may possibly be linked to other cases.
