Nape a Ngoato School receives sanitary towel donation from BNGF

TSIMANYANE

The Breaking New Grounds Foundation (BNGF), a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving the lives of disadvantaged individuals, has marked a significant milestone in its community development efforts by delivering sanitary pads to students at Nape a Ngoato Secondary School in Tsimanyane.

This initiative is part of the foundation’s broader vision to support education and promote economic participation.

Registered with the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) in December 2024, BNGF was established by concerned individuals committed to improving deteriorating conditions in underserved communities. The foundation focuses on providing comprehensive assistance to disadvantaged individuals through various targeted initiatives.

The foundation operates multiple community support programmes including CV registration services to assist with job placement, particularly targeting vulnerable community members who lack access to technology, sanitary pad and school uniform distribution to support students’ basic needs and mentorship opportunities which are connecting students with volunteer professionals.

They also assist in entrepreneurship skills development on non-accredited courses with company registration support for successful candidates and also in labour desk advocating for workers’ rights, especially those earning just above minimum wage.

The foundation is currently developing a community radio station in the Tsimanyane area to create a dedicated platform for community education, information sharing, and empowerment.

During the sanitary pad distribution event, the foundation’s General Secretary Lerumo Robert Ntshabeleng, addressed the students, outlining the foundation’s broader vision for national development.

“This project is one of the projects that BNGF has launched as part of its vision, in lending a helping hand to help shape a better, safer, loving and thriving world, with less restrictions in terms of individual participation in the economy, regardless of their background,” Ntshabeleng stated.

He highlighted the connection between individual support and national economic growth, noting that “for a country to thrive and increase their GDP and subsequently the quality of living for its citizens, it needs a large percentage of creative participation in the economy by its citizens.”

Ntshabeleng emphasised pupils’ importance to the country’s future, stating: “As students of Nape a Ngoato Secondary School, you are the future of the country, each and every one of you. As an organisation, we are deeply invested in providing any type of assistance to you guys, so that you grow up to be positive active members of our society and champion great initiatives that will eventually be beneficial to the whole country as a whole if not the world.”

He concluded by expressing the foundation’s confidence in the students’ potential. “We are proud of you, we have pride in you and most importantly we value your potentials to a great extent.”
