BPSA unveils party manifesto in Moteti Liberty
MOTETI
The Bolsheviks Party of South Africa (BPSA) has on Saturday 28 June 2025 unveiled its top manifesto priorities for the 2026 Local Government Elections.
The party’s General Secretary, Seun Mogotji, launched the manifesto during a recruitment drive and BPSA branch launch at Moteti Liberty in Elias Motsoaledi Local Municipality (EMLM) Ward 2. During the event, 137 new members from EMLM Ward 2 and surroundings joined the BPSA.
Outlining key priorities of the manifesto, Mogotji emphasized the importance of clean governance, social justice, and equal opportunities for all.
“We promise to appoint credible, knowledgeable, and experienced officials with integrity to ensure effective governance and maximum utilization of allocated budgets. We will ensure equal social justice in all opportunities existing in the municipalities,” he said.
According to Mogotji, the party will foster the formalisation of informal settlements by providing service stands to middle-wage earners and relocating those residing in unsuitable areas.
Mogotji indicated that the party will provide basic services and infrastructure to all, including sanitation, electricity, proper roads, and drinkable water.
“No person must travel more than 20 kilometres to access basic services such as Home Affairs, SAPS, SASSA, Labour, ESKOM and others. We are going to prioritise agriculture projects to address food security, alleviate poverty, and create jobs. The BPSA will promote participatory local appraisal and eliminate extortion in developmental projects. We are also planning to provide 24-hour armed security for municipal health facilities and insourcing security and cleaning services within the department,” explained Mogotji.
The BPSA manifesto also highlights the importance of education and healthcare, in which Mogotji stated that the party will make first aid a compulsory subject in the Basic Education Curriculum and ensure that all schools have security personnel and wellness practitioners.
Mogotji committed that the party will protect local businesses against international conglomerates and subsidize small businesses, including hawkers.
“We will push for intensification of labour against capital and subsidize small businesses including hawkers,” he said.
Furthermore, Mogotji emphasized that BPSA will provide solar geysers to households with a combined income below R10 000-00 per month.
“We are committed to build solar plants in every industrial or mining area to ensure smooth economic operations,” he said.
He furthered highlighted the importance of empowering communities through education, training, and support.
“We promise to empower structures created in line with the Municipal Structures Act with the required knowledge. We will support victims of GBV and whistle-blowers by providing them with necessary support,” he said.
Mogotji called on citizens to emancipate themselves and future generations through their vote for the BPSA.
