Help locate two missing from Capricorn district
POLOKWANE – The South African Police Service (SAPS) in the Capricorn district is seeking assistance from members of the public to locate two missing people in separate incidents.
In Westernburg outside Polokwane, the police are appealing to anyone with information on the whereabouts of Letcia Shaunice Murphy (26) who was last seen on 30 May at one of the pubs on Grobler Street in the Polokwane Central Business District (CBD).
According to her father, he noticed that her daughter was not home on 6 June and went to look for her at relatives and friends but she was nowhere to be found.
Sergeant Maphure Manamela, Limpopo Provincial Police spokesperson, said the matter was reported to the police on 9 June.
Manamela indicated that Murphy was last seen wearing a blue dress with white sleepers when she disappeared.
The police urge anyone with information that could help locate Murphy to contact Investigating Officer, Captain Eddie Hlaraka on 082 565 8566, the crime stop number 08600 10111, the nearest police station or use the MySAPSApp.
Police in Polokwane also opened a missing person case following the disappearance of Hendrick Van Zyl (32) who was last seen on 7 June at about 13:15 on Thabo Mbeki Street.
Manamela said Van Zyl was reportedly on his way to a shopping mall situated at the corner of Grobler and Thabo Mbeki streets.
She stated that at the time of his disappearance, Van Zyl was dressed in blue jeans, brown leather jacket, green shirt and black sneakers.
