Sekhukhune District Municipality launches Explore Sekhukhune Magazine

SEKHUKHUNE

The Sekhukhune District Municipality (SDM) has taken a significant step forward in promoting local tourism with the launch of its brand-new “Explore Sekhukhune Magazine”.

The first issue of the magazine was unveiled on Sunday 11 May 2025, just ahead of the recently held prestigious Africa Tourism Indaba, which took place from Monday 12 May to Thursday 15 May 2025 in Durban.

The magazine celebrates the district’s rich tourism potential, showcasing its unique attractions, experiences, and cultural heritage. The launch coincided with the district’s participation in the Africa Tourism Indaba, where 17 local SMMEs represented Sekhukhune, highlighting the region’s diverse offerings.

The Executive Mayor of SDM, Cllr Minah Bahula, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Small Medium and Macro Enterprises (SMMEs) and stakeholders who represented Sekhukhune at the Indaba and other tourism platforms, saying: “We appreciate their ongoing commitment and enthusiasm in promoting our district’s tourism sector.”

The Explore Sekhukhune Magazine provides a platform for local SMMEs to showcase their products and services, promoting entrepreneurship and economic growth in the district. The magazine is a valuable resource for tourists, investors, and stakeholders interested in learning more about Sekhukhune’s tourism offerings.
