Local model wins big in Cairo

Katlego Nkoana, a 14-year-old model from Tubatse has a bright future in pageantry. This grade 10 pupil from Kweledi Secondary School excelled in the Miss Teen Africa Pageant held in Cairo, Egypt, from April 12 to 19.
She was crowned the second runner-up when she represented South Africa in the Miss Teen Africa competition.
She also achieved two more accolades, winning an additional award for best personality and best creative outfit for the finale night on April 18. These titles add to several others she has previously won.
Katlego thanked the locals for their support during her trip.
“I am excited by my achievements and I wish to clinch more crowns in pageantry in the future.”
She thanked all the sponsors that made her trip possible. Activities in which she participated in Egypt, included camel riding and pajama parties.
