FTLM mayor pay courtesy visit to Limpopo cyclists

The  Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality’s mayor Cllr Eddie Maila has  on  April 9  paid a courtesy visit to the bikers who are riding from Burgersfort to Cape Town. The three cyclists Karabo Mokoo, Maxwell Ndou and Gauta Mahlakoane left Tubatse on April 2.

The Mayor and his team met the cyclists at Richmond town enroute to Cape Town.

When giving the message of support,  Maila praised the resilience of the bikers for embarking on this journey to raise awareness and to promote cycling in rural areas.

“This journey has proven that anything is possible if you put your mind into it. “

He thanked all donors who provided all forms of support to the bikers and resources that made their mission possible.

He said the bikers have put Limpopo Province, Sekhukhune District and Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality on a map and their gesture must be celebrated at all times.

“We salute the determination and the dedication of the boys to conquer greatness.

“Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality is supporting the initiatives of the youth and we are proud of them”

For the cyclists to enjoy the ride, Maila boosted them with a R30 000  donation.
