The Provincial Commissioner of the Police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, has ordered an immediate arrest for suspects involved in the fatal shooting of a police sergeant at his house after reporting off duty in the early hours of Wednesday, 5 February 2025, at approximately 01:00, at Staanplaas in Lebowakgomo policing area.

Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba, Limpopo Provincial Police Spokesperson, said according to the reports, the 37-year-old Police Sergeant, from the Provincial Flying Squad Unit, had just returned from work when he was suddenly shot by an intruder at his home.
