Maila and Mmboyi welcome 35 new police recruits in Burgersfort
BURGERSFORT
In a move to combat crime in Fetakgomo Tubatse. The FTLM’s mayor Eddie Maila joined the station commander of Burgersfort SAPS Brigadier Augustine Mmboyi in welcoming 35 new recruits to the police station. The event was held at Tubatse Crossing Mall on February 4.
The new recruits have recently graduated from the Police Academy and ready to serve the community. Maila used the occasion to welcome the new recruits and congratulate them on their new responsibilities of combatting crime.
He praised the SAPS management for increasing the capacity of the police station by the allocation of the 35 new recruits. He said this will go a long way in improving the service offered by the police and increase their visibility in the community.
The mayor urged the recruits to work together with their colleagues in making Fetakgomo Tubatse to be the safest destination for all.
“The cooperation between the SAPS and community will assist in getting rid of criminals who are terrorising our society. We want our children to be safe in schools and homes, women must be protected from gender-based violence and all forms of criminalities that are hampering development.”
Mmboyi extended her warmest congratulations to all appointees during the event.As she remarked, , “This ceremony marks not only personal achievement for each of you but also a significant step forward in collective mission to serve and protect our communities. You have been chosen for these critical roles because we believe in your potential to lead, inspire and improve the functions of our organization at the station.”
She urged the promoted police officials to embrace leadership.“Embrace challenges, view challenges as opportunities for growth, and foster collaboration.,“ added Brigadier Mmboyi.
The newly promoted police officials are expected to hit the ground running to ensure that the residents, business community and visitors are and feel safe in Burgersfort.
