GA-MORETSELE
Siyanda Mosehla, a 19-years old beauty pageant from Ga-Moretsele Village outside Jane Furse in Makhuduthamaga Local Municipality (MLM), is one of the semi-finalist in the Miss Township Limpopo Pageant.
The young model has entered the pageantry early this year and is one of the hopefuls to can win the competition.
The passionate Siyanda says she started to fall in love with modelling when she was doing grade R and never looked back ever since.
“I’ve entered this pageantry early this year by raising 150 points through votes. My love for modelling has developed in those years and this is the biggest competition I’ve ever entered since I started modelling,” states Siyanda.
She adds that the main reason she entered the pageantry is because she wants to improve her self-esteem and be empowered as a young woman.
“It is not an easy journey at all, it goes with a lot of commitments because this pageant has a few tasks that I as a semi-finalists have to complete, such as doing community work, radio interviews, raising money through donations and also interviewing an essential worker,” Siyanda says.
Siyanda is a first year IT Systems Development student at Boston City Campus who has set her sights in becoming a qualified technician in the near future.
“My message to other young people is that they must focus on doing good things with their lives by creating a good image of themselves in the public. They should refrain from associating themselves with groove and alcohol because they do not have good results and only leads to terror,” she said.
