Police manhunt intensified for Ntwane and Waalkraal murder suspects

The Police in Dennilton have launched a massive manhunt for a 45-year-old suspect who allegedly stabbed and murdered his 42-year-old wife.
According to the police, the incident occurred at the couple’s residence in Ntwane Village on Monday 25 November 2024.
Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, Limpopo Provincial Police Spokesperson, said preliminary police investigations revealed that the victim was stabbed by her husband following a domestic dispute.
“The suspect fled the scene and emergency medical services were called to transport the victim to a local hospital, where she was certified dead upon arrival,” said Ledwaba.
He said the police have opened a case of murder and an extensive search has been launched for the suspect who is still on the run. .
The Provincial Commissioner of the Police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, has expressed outrage over the incident, stating that it took place as the country has just launched the ‘16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children’ campaign.
“This is a setback for us as we continue to lose more women at the hands of their partners. The investigating team must ensure the suspect is tracked down and arrested,” said Hadebe.
The police appeal to anyone with information that can lead to the apprehension of the suspect to contact the Investigating Officer, Constable Malose Lamola, on 060 674 2649, the Crime Stop Line on 08600 10111, the nearest police station or submit information through MySAPSApp.
In a separate incident, the Dennilton Police have launched a manhunt for suspects who committed murder at Waalkraal village, following the discovery of a lifeless bruised body of the victim on Sunday 24 November 2024 at around 13:15.
Ledwaba said the police were summoned to the scene together with emergency services personnel and upon arrival, police members discovered the body of a man lying along the streets with bruises.
“His identity is currently withheld due to investigation purposes. Circumstances behind the incidents are still under police investigation,” he said.
