Help locate foreign national duo wanted to solve serious cases
GROBLERSDAL – The South African Police Service (SAPS) in Groblersdal are appealing to two foreign nationals, Tobias Moyo (51) and Fanie Sergio Makwakwa (31) to avail themselves at the nearest police station.
According to the police, the two may be of assistance in solving a number of serious cases that occurred on a certain farm in the area on 6 August 2017.
The cases include murder, robbery with aggravating circumstances, housebreaking, unlawful possession of firearm and ammunition.
Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, Limpopo Provincial Police spokesperson, said reports indicated that a group of men attacked the owner of the farm and his family, and assaulted him to death.
Ledwaba revealed that the family members were taken to hospital for medical treatment and later discharged.
“Among the group, four suspects were arrested, two on 6 August 2017 and another two on 8 August 2017. When they initially appeared in court on 8 August 2017, they were not granted bail. However, they were eventually granted. With time, one of the suspects passed on when they were expected to appear before the court and the second one was subsequently released by the court,” explained Ledwaba.
He informed that the docket was eventually referred to Polokwane High Court and the remaining two suspects were given 23 August 2017 for their second appearance but they failed and absconded.
“Warrants of arrest were issued against the two suspects but they were nowhere to be found,” said Ledwaba.
